Q&A

What materials are Grande S1 made of ?

The GRANDE S1 is constructed using a high-quality 1.97-inch (50mm) A36 steel panel, ensuring durability and strength. The steel panel is filled with polyurethane foam, which provides excellent insulation and enhances the structural integrity of the product. The excellent insulation performance of our product will keep you comfortable throughout the year, regardless of the outside temperature.

What is its wind resistance?

As shown in the previous answer, the A36 steel panel ensures durability and strength. The same materials are used in bolted, riveted, or welded construction of bridges, buildings, and oil rigs. It withstands winds up to category 3, 11-129mph.

What kind of vehicle do I need to haul it?

The Grande S1 weighs approximately 17,600 lbs (GTW) and is recommended for towing with a heavy-duty pickup truck, such as the F-250.

What do water and sewage? What about electricity?

To clarify, the Grande S1 does not have a dark or grey water tank included. Therefore, it requires a connection to a city sewage system or an additional septic tank. However, the house does come equipped with a 50 Amp duplex plug, a 120V RV connection, and a standard RV city water inlet.

Do you have other sizes and floor plans?

In March 2023, we launched the Grande S1 with three different floor plans and optional kits. Additionally, we have plans to release two more models, the LaVida S1 and Libre S1, by the end of this year. Keep an eye out for our upcoming releases!

What is the position of the furniture when the house is folded up?

The furniture in the Grande S1 is designed to optimize space and functionality. In particular, our folding bed and tables are integrated into the design and can be easily folded up against the wall when the house is closed up.

In addition, we also offer an optional folding furniture kit that includes a dining table and sofa, which can be conveniently stored in the designated area due to their size.

What certifications does PODX GO have?

All of our PODX GO homes have received certification from NOAH, the National Organization of Alternative Housing.

NOAH sets stringent standards for the resilience of homes against various weather and natural disasters, including hurricane winds, heavy snowfall, and earthquakes with a magnitude of up to 6.5. In addition, NOAH sets requirements for ensuring moisture protection, insulation, and safe exits.

The NOAH, or National Organization of Alternative Housing, has been actively assisting the tiny home community since 2015.
